Accomplishments

I'm being forced to blog against my will!!!! Katie is making me do this. J/K I told her that I would help blog as well.

Yesterday we had a party with her family. We bought a cute little chocolate fondu pot and thought to try it out with everyone. Sorry no pics, but it was a fun night. We played a rousing game of Clue (which I won by the way). Katie was the murderer, no big deal. Good times I tell ya.

Today Katie spoiled us all to a dinner of stuffed manicotti shells. Mmmmmm! It was good. And just as proof here we have Suzy Homemaker herself.

And just so Katie doesn't get ALL the glory, I received a letter from my school the other day informing me that I have "earned a place on the Distinguished Honors List." Woo-hoo! I'm so smart!

So you can probably tell we're stretching here to come up with exciting new info from our part of the map. Just some other tidbits: We are in the middle of blizzard #12 (ok, slight exaggeration, but still - I'm sick of the snow!!!), I might help make a video game, Katie is as beautiful as ever, and Houdini is "talking" more and more everyday.

The 3 day weekend is OVER!

We are sad the weekend is over.

We did have fun hanging out with family. We went bowling on Friday night with my family. It was quite fun. Jared and I both did fairly well.

Saturday night we went out shopping to get some things Jared needed for a fireside Sunday night. Julie came with us too. When we found ourselves at Wal-Mart not finding what we needed we somehow ended up in the Valentine's Day decorations. We decided to leave up our christmas tree and decorate it for every holiday. So this is our Valentine's Day Tree! Isn't it GREAT!?!?!? Julie made the heart tree topper.
Sunday I taught my first primary lesson. I teach the 6 yr. old girls. Just the girls. They split the girls and the boys, isn't that wierd? But I love being a primary teacher. Jared is the secretary in the Young Men's Presidency. One of his duties is tracking the boys progress of their Duty to God award. So he had to prepare a folder for each young man with all the information in it. The folders looked great, obviously, and the fireside orientation went well also.

On Sunday we also met a cousin of the Linton family. There is a woman in our ward named Kim Gough. Her mother's maiden name is Linton and Grandpa Linton was her brother making Grandpa Linton Kim's uncle. So to Jared, and the rest of the Linton children, Kim is your 2nd cousin. Crazy huh? What a small world!

Well, I gotta run. Hopefully I can get Jared to write next time! I hope everyone has a great week!!!

WE LOVE YOU!!!

I can't believe I'm blogging

OK, so I swore I would never have a blog but after looking at everyone's I decided it was a good way to let everyone know what we are up to since we don't get around to calling everyone very often. And since I seem to have some of down time at work I figure this is a good use of my time. I hate sitting and not having ANYTHING to do. So, keep a look out and I'll try to do my best to keep this updated.

Christmas was good. We spent the morning with mom and Julie. Then we went and spent the afternoon and evening with my family. My sister and her husband gave us a beautiful framed picture of our temple with a quote from the dedicatory prayer. I cried when I opened it. We had a perfect "First Christmas".

The week after Christmas was nice but the week after that was not so much fun.We had to get ready for my sister's very worldly wedding. Beth would not make decisions on her own and so everyone just had to do what they think they thought se would like. Then her friend Dani came into town and took over everything. The wedding was sweet and Beth looked beautiful but we were all glad it was over! Three weddings in eleven months is stressful!
Jared is back to school so its just me and Houdini at home. Its hard not having him home but I know how important school is for him. He's doing really well too. He got all A's last semester. His classes get more difficult but he always does well.
Ok, well I have to get back to work! Enjoy your weekend!!! Love Ya!!!
